The Chief Imam of Unguwan Kura Juma’a Mosque, Sheikh Abubakar Adamu has urged Muslim faithful to rededicate themselves to the commandments of Allah and emulate the examples and legacies of prophet Muhammad (saw)
Addressing a large gathering of Muslim ummah at Maulud celebration held at the unguwan Kura Lokoja, Imam Adamu called on them to shun all kinds of mischief and drug addiction which might disrupt public peace and human brotherhood.
The 12th annual Maulud celebration was organised by Alhaji Gimba Haruna Sarkin Makada of Lokoja under the chairmanship of Khalifa Abdullahi Yahaya Soje.
The Islamic cleric who spoke on the history of the Holy prophet Muhammad (saw) said “History has not known a greater figure than this noble Prophet,” implored faithful to imbibe “his (prophet) excellent character, his unique message, saying “the reach of that message are what stands him out.
In his welcome speech which was delivered by Abdullahi Bature, Baba urge Muslims to reflect on the words of Allah which say: ‘And guard against the mischief that will not only bring punishment to the wrong-doers among you. Know well that Allah is severe in punishment.
He maintained further that
“As parents, guardians, and leaders in our own rights, let us examine what roles we play to tackle these serious challenges of youths restiveness amongst our youths, May God ease our affairs,” he said.
This year’s occasion was graced by Khalifa Abdullahi Yahaya Soje, Hakimi of ward D,Isah Nasidi, Lokoja local APC chairman,Hon.Maikudi Bature to mentioned few.
