The Kogi Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo said he has mapped out a strategic plan to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Lokoja local area if voted on Saturday.
The governorship hopeful disclosed this in interactive sessions with the people of Lokoja local government,tribal chiefs,stakeholders, traditional rulers and APC leadership from the area.
Ododo said having undertaken extensive research, he found out that the entire Lokoja stakeholders irrespective of tribe, Religious and political affiliations are united.
He noted that a vote for APC come November 11, is a vote for consolidation of the laudable achievements of governor Yahaya Bello, especially the infrastructural development in Lokoja.
He appealed to parents not to allow their children to be use by politicians as thugs
“I want to appeal to you our elders,help us to actualise the mandate”
He assured them of his commitment to deliver good governance
“I want to assure you that I will not disappoint you,we are coming to serve with the fear of God,as power belongs to God” he said.
Earlier,speaker of Kogi state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Aliyu Umar reiterated Lokoja local government determination to deliver Ododo next Saturday.
The lawmaker further stated that Ododo would consolidate on the laudable achievements recorded by governor Yahaya Bello.
“For the first time since the inception of democracy in 1999,the people of Lokoja United and ready to speak in one voice
Our people would definitely come out next Saturday enmass to cast their votes for APC and it flagbearer, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo” he said
The event was attended ,member representing Lokoja,Kogi federal Constituency,Hon Suleiman Danladi Aguye, commissioner for local government and chieftancy Affairs,Hon. Muhammed Deedat Ozigi, Tijjani Bin-Ebiya Shehu,member representing Lokoja 1 Constituency,Hon Mabo Kasim and Sulaiman Babadoko.
Others are::APC chairman, Lokoja local government,Hon Maikudi Bature, commissioner for women affairs, Hajiya Fatiha Buba
Traditional rulers, tribals chiefs ,women and youths groups were not left out.
Highlights of the meeting includes, goodwill messages from traditional rulers, organisations,party leaders and stakeholders across the Local Government.
