The Social Democratic Party (SDP)Gubernatorial candidate for November governorship election, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, have pledged his commitment to provide good leadership via people oriented programmes and policies if given the mandate at the November 11 poll.
The pledged was made on Wednesday by the deputy Governorship Candidate of SDP, Hon.Sam Ranti Abenemi while addressing the people of ward E, in continuation of their campaign tour.
Abenerni said, for a gubernatorial candidate to enjoy the support of the people, he must also indicate significant interest to provide the dividends of democracy,human and physical development which according to him, was the bane of development.
He described Ajaka as the best candidate who he said will led with the fear of God if given the mandate.
Abenerni further explained that SDP candidate have the understanding of the current economic and underdevelopment in kogi state.
“We are all aware of the hardships, during the flood, Muritala Ajaka donated millions of naira to flood victims across the state,the same people asking for your votes squandered the money.
There’s no functional school in kogi,our businesses have collapsed,yet they want you to vote for them.”
Abenerni noted that, if voted into office, Ajaka administration would want to be remembered for wearing a human face in his dealings with civil servants,teachers,local government workers and women.
He said SDP administration will focus on Human empowerment,
health, employment and skill acquisition, as well as education among others.
Earlier,leader of SDP in ward E ,Comrade Gambo Umar, berated the ruling APC government in kogi state.
He called on the people of the area to come out enmass on November 11 and cast their votes for SDP.
Umar ,a one time Chairman of NULGE lamented that the future of the younger generation has been mortgaged by APC led administration and called upon them not to be allowed to be use by politicians as thugs .
Lokoja local government Muritala campaign council chairman, Hon Danladi Baba budon who received members from APC and PDP led by Gimba Muhammed who decamped to SDP, said the party would give them Equal opportunity.
