Kogi Former lawmakers endorse APC Guber Candidate,Ododo

Former legislators in the Kogi state House of Assembly have endorsed the APC Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the November governorship election.

The ex-lawmakers, under the aegis of 6&7 Legislators Forum, passed a vote of confidence on Ododo in a press conference on Thursday in Lokoja.

Spokesman of the Forum and on-time member representing Bassa State Constituency, Hon. Alhassan Adakeke explained that after deliberations and assessments of all the candidates, they resolved to support the APC candidate because of his commitment towards the Unity and development of Kogi state.

“After series of meetings,we
examined the candidates,we
resolved to support the APC candidate because he’s more qualify,Character strides and he’ll consolidate on Governor Yahaya Bello’s laudable achievements, especially on unity, security and human empowerment programmes” he said.

The forum spokesman further stated that Ododo as auditor in ministry of local government,he implemented the Audit law passed by the assembly, which according to him improved the administration of local government in kogi state.

He said the forum appreciates the impactful developmental efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello across the state.

The forum promised to deliver APC flagbearer Alhaji Usman Ododo, overwhelming in the forthcoming November 11 Governorship election and called on kogites to ignore what he described as “Pretenders and trouble shooters whose trade in mark remains violence and blackmail” he said.

The forum which comprises All Progressives Congress (APC) commended Bello’s exemplary leadership, which, they said, has engendered peace, stability and development in the state.
