The Lokoja local Government chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has flagged off its gubernatorial campaign ahead of November 11 Governorship election.
Speaking at the occasion,the Leader of APC in Lokoja and Kogi federal Constituency,Hon Suleiman Baba Ali appealed to the people of Lokoja Local Government area to ensure that they voted for the APC and its candidate in the November 2023 gubernatorial election.
“An APC Government in Kogi state under Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, if voted will continue the good work done by the present administration led by Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello pointing out that kogi will be better.I urge you to ensure that you voted massively for APC in the forthcoming November election.
Ali,who described Ododo as the best candidate,berated other candidates of lack of people oriented programmes that would met the yearning and aspirations of kogites .
He emphasized the need for the people to come out and cast their votes stressing that APC in Lokoja Local Government have no opposition ” with the numbers of PDP leaders that recently defected to APC,the November governorship election has been won and lost” Ali said.
Earlier in his welcome speech, APC Chairman, Lokoja local government,Hon Maikudi Bature,commended APC leaders in the area for their steadfast and committed to the party.
He appealed to APC supporters to begins the door to door campaign so that the party will emerge victorious come November 11 Governorship election.
The occasion was graced by the APC deputy leader and Galadima of Igu,Hon Sai’du Akawu Salihu,Kogi local government executive chairman,hon Daudu Aliyu, Executive chairman SUBEB Comrade Sulaiman Ndalayi.
Others are, Hon Mabo Kasim, Sulaiman Babadoko,apc State Youth Leader, Muhammed Uba Muhammed among others.
Highlights of the event includes: the reception of large numbers of decampess from PDP across the ten wards of Lokoja local government area.
