The chairman of Late Abubakar Ola Foundation (AOF) Alhaji Zakari Abubakar Ola, described the construction and commissioning of Abubakar Ola Masjid, newly out Lokoja , as ” a fulfilment of our father’s will”
Zakari made the declaration today in Lokoja at the commissioning of the newly constructed Abubakar Ola Masjid in commemoration of 10 years Fidau prayer for Alhaji Abubakar Ola.
Chairman of the organisation and member representing Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency,Hon Suleiman Danladi Aguye commended the deceased children for their foresight and dedication to Islam by building a mosque,which would serve as sadakatu’ jariya to their late father and the entire family
He noted that the mosque would serve as a centre of Unity, peace and blessings among Muslim ummah.
The chief Imam of Abubakar Ola Masjid, Ustaz Yakubu Shehu in his sermon admonished Muslims to dedicate their time in serving Allah by seeking for His forgiveness and continued prayers for their departed parents.
Imam Shehu called on Muslims to emulate Alhaji Zakari Abubakar Ola,whom he described as a philanthropist.
Highlights of the 10th years fidau includes: distribution of foodstuffs, textile materials and medical outreach to the less privileged.
The juma’a prayer was attended by Hon Shehu Tijjani Bin-Ebiya,member representing Lokoja 1 Constituency, Chief imam of Markaz juma’a Mosque, ustaz Ibrahim Nyass Yusuf Abdullah among thousands of Muslim.
