Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi by his positive antecedent and outstanding performance at the National Assembly emerged as one of the iconic political leaders in the North central.
Sen. Adeyemi is a patriotic citizen from Iyara, Ijumu local government area,kogi state, North central extraction, with direct marital ties to the South west Senator Adeyemi whose earlier career roots lie in Minna,Niger state and Kwara state.
Senator Smart Adeyemi worked and retired in Nigerian Television Authority,NTA where he met his beautiful and lovely wife, may her soul continue to rest in thy Lord,(Amen).
Senator Adeyemi’s forthrightness and zeal for service delivery during his unionism days as vice president of Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ, and subsequently as two term president of the union grabbed national attention in his time.
Those signature attributes continued to define the three term senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria. His passion to make a difference in every assignment before him is overemphasized. It is also noteworthy that in his eventful tenure throughout his 12 years in the Senate among other accomplishments,
This landmark achievements of Sen.Smart Adeyemi provided him an enigmatic, successful political records in the national politics in the country.
It is also in his achievements list, that Sen. Adeyemi during his tenure as senator provided a massive empowerment for his people in kogi west, several items like Tricycles, motorcycles, computers,pumping machines, distribution of vehicles and other items too numerous to mention.
Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi also provided awards of scholarships to indigent students both in the secondary and higher institutions, as well as the free health care policy for pregnant women, children and the aged.
He prioritized educational support for the people of kogi west and also provided skill acquisition programmes for the younger ones.
These achievements, to mention a few, are what advanced and brought Senator Smart Adeyemi to global lime lights in Nigeria.
In his uncommon stewardship, Sen. Adeyemi manifested his enduring essence of patriotism and nationalism in his deliberate efforts to sustain his millions of supporters in the country.
He has also built bridges of friendship and goodwill from North central to core north and from south west to East and all over the world.
It’s also pertinent to note that Sen. Adeyemi was honoured and conferred with several humanitarian awards and traditional titles from various NGOs, associations, and cooperate organizations around the country.
It is against this background that Senator Smart Adeyemi will ever be remembered for the good dispositions and deeds while in office as senator.
It would be recalled that Sen. Smart Adeyemi was in the forefront of the actualization of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign and played a very prominent role in the entrenchment of victory for the ruling APC in kogi state and Nigeria.
He has provided a bold example that is been emulated by the upcoming politicians.
