The Kogi state ministry of Transport have banned the Yunusa Okada Riders Association with immediate effect.
In a letter signed by the honourable commissioner of transportation,Hon.Hon. Baran Joseph Okwoli and copy obtained by THEANALYSTNG in Lokoja on Wednesday said the Association was not registered with the appropriate authority.
The letter which was copied the the chairman Lokoja Local Government chairman,police headquarters,the DSS among others further stated that the
Ministry of transport has painstakingly studied the activities of one Yunusa Okada Association Lokoja and has decided to distance itself from every activity of this illegal Union/Association.

Yunusa Okada Riders Association, Lokoja.
DISBANDMENT OF ILLEGAL OKADA TRANSPORT UNION/ASSOCIATION: YUNUSA OKADA RIDERS ASSOCIATION, LOKOJA.
This is to inform you that this Ministry has painstakingly studied the activities of one Yunusa Okada Association Lokoja and has decided to distance itself from every activity of this illegal Union/Association.
You may wish to note that with the reports reached this Ministry concerning the
activities of this illegal Union, we decided to hold meeting with N.M.1.U, and the founder of the illegal body on a August, 2023 where he (Yunusa) was directed to bring to an end, all his operations in the State which he agreed to be illegal
Having known that issues between Yunusa and N.M.T.U. had degenerated to pursuing cases in Law Courts, both parties were directed to withdraw such cases. \t may interest you to note that while N.M.T.U. has withdrawn her case, Yunusa
has continued to operate illegally, extorting money from innocent Okada riders in the State.
In view of the above and in order to bring peace and sanity in Okada transportation business in the State, you are hereby informed that Yunusa Okada Riders Association or any other Okada Association is not recognized apart from the Nigeria Motorcycles Transport Union (N.M.T.U.) in this State.
The Security Agencies are hereby called upon to arrest and prosecute any such illegal Okada Riders Association operating in the State apart from N.M.T.U.henceforth, you take please.
