The All Progressives Congress (APC) Lokoja local government chairman, Hon. Maikudi Bature, on Tuesday congratulated member representing Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, for his victory at the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which declared him the rightful winner of the February 2023 National Assembly poll.
Reacting to the ruling, the party in a statement signed by Bature noted that the tribunal’s verdict “represents victory for democracy and the rule of law.
It is a categorical affirmation of the will of the Lokoja and Kogi local government electorate as expressed at the polls.”
The statement further read, “The peaceful conduct of the National Assembly election and effective recourse procedures are eloquent testaments to our party’s commitment to bequeathing a legacy of credible elections, and independent and fair dispensation of electoral justice.
“The Tribunal’s findings and verdict yet again underscores the massive significance of the programme of electoral reform, and new and efficient technologies implemented by the APC-administration during the last general elections.
On behalf of the entire members of APC in Lokoja Local Government, let me use this medium to extend our congratulatory message to you, on your well deserved victory as the tribunal which affirmed the mandate freely given to you by our team supporters in Lokoja and environs, once more Congratulations, Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye ” the statement said.
