Kogi Council of ulama’u Admonishes Muslim To Pray For Peace, Unity

The Kogi state council of ulama’u has called on Muslim ummah to pray for peace and unity of the country during the forthcoming edil-adha celebrations.

The called was made in a statement signed by the state secretary, Alhaji Baba’ango Idris and made available to THEANALYSTNG in Lokoja on Friday.

The statement appealed to Muslims community to observe the celebration with the spirit of strong faith in Allah as displayed by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and that of unflinching obedience as displayed by his son Ismail (Ishmael).

Compliments!
With gratitude for your standing understanding and co-operation, the Kogi State Council of Ulama’u hereby forward the under mentioned items for your necessary action, please.

At the down of this year’s Eidil-Kabir Sallah, the Council urges Muslims to observe the celebration with the spirit of strong faith in Allah as displayed by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and that of unflinching obedience as displayed to him by his son Ismail (Ishmael). 2 That faith and obedient are essential means to attaining fear of God which highly needed in today’s existence as the solution to all human and solutions to all problems.

The Council calls on all Imams to pray at the Eid ground for security of lives and properties as we approach November 2023 election in the state for peaceful conduct 2023 Governorship Election !

Council is highly grateful to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his
Government for the enabling of Financial and Moral support to all religious bodies in the State, To address the challenges associated with Fuel Subsidy Removal, Council advised Government that Nigeria needs comprehensive reform focused on sustainable energy policies and targeted social intervention programme.

The Council appeals to the Muslims generally to donate their animal skin to the Council of Ulama’u Zakat skin banking for better utilisation and benefit of the Muslim Ummah” the statement concluded.
