Madabo in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State on Thursday witnessed a huge gathering of Sympathisers, Clerics,Retired Custom officers, elders, politicians other Nigerians, who were in Lokoja town to attend the combined Fidau Prayer For Late Hajiya Habiba Jumai Amorley Abdul.
Late Habiba transited on Thursday, June 15, and was buried at Abuja on Friday in accordance with Islamic rites.
The Chief imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban who presided over the prayer session, read some verses from the Qu’ran soliciting Allah’s forgiveness for Hajiya Habiba’s shortcomings, while granting her soul eternal bliss.
He urged the people to pray for the late Habiba saying: “The only thing she needs from us now is prayer, whether you are a family member or a sympathiser.”
Sha’aban said that such prayers should continue even after the “fidau”, adding that all Muslims should pray for their departed family members and associates at all times.
THEANALYSTNG reports that Habiba’s husband, Alhaji Danladi Abdulsalam , the Speaker of Kogi state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf Assignment, Hon Tijjani Shehu Bin-Ebiya, member representing Lokoja 1 Constituency, Retired Comptroller of Custom Muazu Raji,SDP Deputy Governorship Candidate,Hon Samuel Ranti Abenemi among many attended the prayer session.
Dina, while speaking with newsmen expressed his gratitude to all those that sent,visited or called to sympathised with the families during their trial period.
He prayed for the safety return of those that attended the prayer to their various destinations.
