It is my privilege and Honour to welcome you all to this decoration ceremony. I particularly welcome Heads of Sister Organisation’ who have come to grace this occasion even at very short notice.
It is yet another statement on the high level of collaboration, cooperation and synergy for which Kogi State Security Agencies are known.
We are gathered here today to share in the joy of our Officers who have just been promoted to the next Higher Rank.
On behalf of the Acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, I say a big congratulations to you all. We share in your joy and are happy to be part of your celebration. It is hoped that this will spur you to greater Service Delivery. It is said that to whom much is given, much is equally expected.
I’m particularly happy that this is about the fourth decoration ceremony that I’m superintending over within a space of about 2 and half years as the Comptroller of this Command.
It goes to show that promotion has been coming as at when due. And this particular one involve very Senior Officers of the Command.
We therefore say a big thank you to the out gone Hon. Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, The CDCFIB and the immediate past and current Comptroller-General of Immigration Service for all their efforts at improving officers welfare.
The NIS as the organization saddled with the responsibility of Migration management is doing so much in the area of staff welfare, system upgrade and infrastructural development. Most of our operations are. now ICT driven through MIDAS and they are now controlled real time from the Technology building in‘SHQ. This is for efficient and effective service delivery.
The sky is therefore the limit for any hard working officer. You can avail yourself of educational opportunities in the country to develop your skills. By so doing you will be more effective in discharging your duty. We have seen the positive results of such efforts in this promotion exercise as over 700 officers were upgraded nationwide as a result of acquisition of higher educational qualifications.
We can continue on and on, but today is for celebration. Please, enjoy yourselves.
Thank you and God bless you all.
TY MUSA, Pcc Comptroller of Immigration Service.
