Kogi Lawmaker, Bin-Ebiya Vows Not To Disappoint Constitutes

The newly inaugurated member Representing Lokoja 1Constituency,Hon. Tijjani Shehu Bin-Ebiya, has vowed to make a difference through effective representation of his constituency in the Assembly.

Bin-Ebiya, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the last state House of Assembly election in Lokoja Constituency 1, said his people would not regret voting for him.

The lawmaker made the promised in Lokoja during a reception organised to commemorate with him by the people of his constituents on Tuesday.

Shehu assured the people of Lokoja 1 Constituency to better their lives through empowerment and quality engagement with people at the grassroots level.

“I would dedicate a large chuck of my time In addressing societal challenges frontally troubling Lokoja 1 Constituency residents, irrespective of religion or political affiliations”. said.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Lokoja 1 Constituency for given the mandate to represent them at the hallows chamber stressing that he would introduce a bills that would have direct impact on the people, especially youths ,women and the less privileged.

Earlier, the Guest lecturer and chief imam of kutepa mosque, Imam Abu Bilal, delivered lecture on the “burden of leadership in Islam”.

The Islamic clerics advised leaders to be cautious of their responsibilities towards their subjects, quoting from the holy Qur’an: “Verily, Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those, to whom they are due; and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching which He (Allah) gives you! Truly, Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer.” Qur’an 4:58

He said highly conscious man who understands the demands of leadership will not aspire for leadership position, noting that a society cannot survive without Leader despite the burden as stated in Qur’an and Hadith.

He described leadership as a huge burden in this world and in the hereafter.
” every one of us is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of a people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects….” In essence, the leader of a country is responsible for the entire citizens of the country for which he is definitely going to be asked by Allah as to how he fulfilled the trust given to him.” he said.

He congratulated the lawmaker on his inauguration as member representing Lokoja 1 Constituency.
The occasion which took place at the lawmaker’s Karaworo family compound, was witnessed by the Chief imam of Lokoja Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban,who was represented by Khalifa Arif Yabagi, Ustaz mansur Nayashi,Imam Abu’ Bilal.

Others includes: Chieftains of APC , PDP, women groups, traditional rulers amongst others.
