The Accord Party candidate in the forthcoming November 11 governorship election in kogi State, Real Admiral Usman Oyibe Jibrin, has vowed to make workers’ welfare in the state a priority.
He also said that if elected, his administration will build infrastructural facilities across the state and ensure that workers’ and pensioners’ welfare are prioritised.
Jibrin said this when he interacted with ThEANLYSTNG in Abuja recently.
He maintained further that good governance involves a process of continuous improvement and as such, his own focus will be more in the areas of human capital development and regular payment of workers’ salaries and pensions which will in turn engender increased productivity as well as accelerated economic growth.
He added that having head and managed officers and men in naval forces, he understands that prioritizing people’s welfare is the thrust of good administration and promised to always identify with policies and programmes in that light.
The Accord governorship hopeful called on kogites to vote for Accord party, who according to him will respond to the demands of Kogi workers, pensioners and Local Government staff by prompt payment of their salaries and pensions.
On the issues of perennial water scarcity in the state, Jibrin promised to upgrade the Great Lokoja water works by upgrading the Equipments, constant supply of medical and funds for the running of the giant water works.
