Few days ago, the imposed candidate of The All Progressive Congress went to Kabba, the Senatorial District of Kogi West to make a promise of a university amidst controversy of his unpopular aspiration and lack of acceptability by the people of Okunland, Kogi West and by extension Kogi State.
Governor Yahaya Bello, Usman Ahmed Ododo and other few cohorts of the government should be fully aware that we are comity of sophisticated sound mind as such we cannot be cajoled by the kangaroo promise of a university.
For over 7 years of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello tenure our district was not deemed it fit to have a university not even a campus but for personal interest targeted towards galvanizing support for a particular person, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo the government made public the establishment of a university that was not deemed fit to be situated in okunland long before now but came up at the twilight of the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The administration of the incumbent governor of kogi state will be coming to an end in less than 9 months.
How has the governor funded the college of technical Kabba in Kogi West?
The same governor Yahaya Bello that promised to establish university in okunland asked the then Commissioner for works and housing, Engr. Sediq to mobilize kongoroma equipments to site for the construction of Kabba olle Iluke road after the official flagged off which the standpoint was decorated like a new bride about to get married, but the same road has remained a dead trap as it was a lip promise made to the good people of olle Iluke in Kabba Bunu LGA by the new direction government of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Few days after the 2019 election all the equipments was moved out of the site without cutting just a grass and four years running nothing was done on the said road.
There is no doubt, we are in need of a university in okunland but not this kind of university Governor Yahaya Bello and his cronies are promising us. Kogi West Indigene should be allowed to become the governor of kogi state and the university will be actualize rather for an outsider who is almost completing his 8 year’s as a sitting governor and could not give us a campus both from the State University in Anyigba and the Confluence University in Osara.
The university promised is a day light robbery and the people of okunland and indeed Kogi West will resist every attempt of Governor Yahaya Bello to impose his cousin from the same LGA and Senatorial District ward and even pulling unit on the good people of Kogi State.
Backlogs of unpaid pensions,Local government salaries should be address for now and not scamming us with the university Enough is Enough!!!!!!!
Enough of Governor Yahaya Bello deception and playing on our sensibility as people as we are resilient on our demand for power rotation and we cannot be drag backward with fake promise.
