The attention of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Kogi state chapter, has been drawn to a misleading publication credited to one Muktar Atima who, supposedly in error, was reported to have decamped from the SDP, as its chairman, to the APC.
The report which showed him with His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Governor of the state, in Government House yesterday, failed to add that he had since left the SDP having followed Hon. Mrs. Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan to the PDP prior to her Senatorial race after both were expelled for gross misconduct and antiparty activities.
Ordinarily, we wouldn’t have made any comment as a party, but for the public that may be misled.
He is entitled to decamp from the PDP to the APC having been fired from the SDP previously and received, along side Natasha, in the PDP.
We congratulate the APC on its new signing, even though it has become very necessary to inform the public and set the record straight. We wish Alh. Mouktar Atima well in his future political endeavours.
The Social Democratic Party, the SDP, is poised for a win come November 2023 and wouldn’t be distracted by fabricated reports.
As we implore the good people of Kogi State to keep praying for the good of the state and to get their PVC ready to change the baton of leadership to the peaceful and progressive white horse, that will usher in progress, we wish to appreciated them for their unflinching support for the party thus far.
The state chairman, Moses Peter, also wishes to use this medium to invite well meaning individuals across the state to join hands with the party to achieve our collective dreams and aspirations.
God bless the SDP,
God bless Kogi state,
God bless Nigeria.
Signed: Dr Arome Okeme
State Secretary, SDP Kogi State chapter.
