As Crisis Deepens,Mass Resignation Hits Kogi NNPP Leadeship

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), kogi state branch is facing mass defection due to internal crisis as a result of the last governorship primary election and bad leadership.

Those who tendered their resignation letter include: the State woman leader of the party, Hajiya Mariam Yakubu, Alhaji. Ahmed Sani, Hon. Atumeyi, Hon. Nuhu Isiaka and their wards executives amongst many

According to them they are resigning from the party in protests against what the described as lack of leadership and cohesion within the party in the state.

They maintained further that the party leadership sold the party governorship ticket to the highest bidder against the wishes of the teaming supporters across the state.

Recall that some major stakeholders of the party in kogi recently defected over the past few weeks, Which includes, a member of the NWC and deputy zonal chairman (North Central) who defected to People Redemption Party (PRP) to contest the forthcoming November governorship election in Kogi state.

The controversial Governorship primary election of the party they alleged, produced two candidates, Dr. Mubarak Musa who was recognized by the NWC of the party and Hon. Abdullahi Hassan Baiwa.
