A top contender for Kogi governorship seat under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC),Dr Sanusi Ohiare have promised indigenes and residents of Kogi State, particularly in terms of provision of free education and equitable distribution of resources in across the state ,if given the mandate.
Ohiare made the promised at a media parley with journalists, organised by Kogi state chapter of Nigeria Union Of Journalists (Nuj) on Wednesday in Lokoja.
He assured the people, that if elected governor in the November 2023 poll, his administration would embark on tuition-free programme in kogi State.
He also promised to grant full autonomy to local government councils in the state, stressing that such gesture would help to provide good governance and bring government closer to the people at the grassroots.
On health,Dr Ohiare who commended Governor Yahaya Bello on healthcare delivery, promised to Consolidate On the Governor’s legacy health projects.
While unveiling his programmes for the state if given the mandate,Ohiare said he’ll revitalise marine trade, build inland port in Lokoja,which attract foreign investors among other benefits.
” My administration in conjunction with the federal government will extend the itakpe rail line from itakpe to the federal Capital,Abuja.”
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for clearing the Ajaokuta debts and assuring Kogites of his determinations to revamp the steel company to provide employment to teaming Kogi youths .
The APC Guber hopeful promised to establish Welfare package for the old and aged in kogi state, through payments of monthly stipends to aged men and women in the state.
He maintained further that security of life and property of kogites would be one of his cardinal programs and appealed to delegates to APC Guber Primary election to vote for him as he he’s the best with requisite experience that’ll do the job.
