…Appeals To Gov Bello for Intervention.

The Kabawa community in Lokoja local government has called on Governor Yahaya Bello on the need to take a look at the plights of the people of the area , especially with regards to infrastructural development.
This was made known during an interactive session held with the chairman of Lokoja Local Government council,Hon Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed on Wednesday in Lokoja.
The group described Kabawa as one of the most oldest communities in Lokoja LGA, lamented that it has not benefitted from government’s infrastructural development, most especially road project since the era of late Prince Audu.
The Community noted that, provision of road network is inevitable as it remains the only panacea for development as done to other benefiting Communities such as Adankolo, Cementery, Federal University Lokoja road, New Layout, Cinema, and Kewon road in the same local government.
While lamenting the exclusion of Kabawa community in the government gesture of rehabilitation of accessible roads to boost the motorable activities of the people, they pointed out that the journey towards 2023 general election is fast approaching when the electorates are expected to judiciously used their voters cards to exercise their rights.
They said that Lokoja local government can not be complete without Kabawa community that history has shown that the community has never witness any dividend of democracy from the successive administrations that have piloted the affairs of Kogi state.
While pleading with the present administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello who they said has recorded tremendous achievements across the state, most especially in road constructions, urged him to extend the gesture to Kabawa community.
