A civil society group, “Coalition of Kogi Youths and Women Organizations for Transparency and Good Governance” on Tuesday, called on the honourable minister for federal Capital Territory (FCT) Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu to join the Kogi Governorship race come 2023
Chairman of the coalition, Hon. Ibrahim Adamu Yakubu, said this in a press statement issued in Lokoja on Tuesday which he personally signed.
According to the statement, based on her tracks records of achievements as minister and her contributions to the development of Kogi state, the honourable minister need to answer the calls by Kogites who sees her potentials in all ramifications to contest the 2023 governorship of Kogi state come 2023.
As 2023 is fast approaching, it is obvious that what we as a people need is a leader who apart from being a detribalized kogite, must have a track record of service, commitment and be ready to serve the people and bring an end to the myriad problems confronting our beloved state today.
“Having considered many of the political gladiators on the scene today, this group is of the opinion that Minister for State Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu possesses what it takes to lead the Confluence come 2023 and turn around its fortunes for better if given the opportunity” the statement concluded.
