State Minister for Federal Capital Territory, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has called on Nigerians to vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 general elections.
Aliyu, who is the chairperson of Nigerians Unite for Tinubu/Shetima” a campaign movement she launched recently, made the call while speaking with THEANALYSTNG reporter in Abuja.
According to her,Tinubu/Shatima presidency will usher in a New Nigeria, stressing that the candidates are go-getters who had been tested and trusted with the leadership of their own states.
She said: “Lagos and Borno states are where they are today courtesy of a solid blueprints established by Bola Ahmad Tinubu and Kashim Ibrahim Shatima Basically, there political philosophy prioritises the development of human capital and economy in their respective states.
“So also Borno State where Kashim Shatima had brought his leadership prowess to bear in bringing the Boko Haram insurgency to its lowest ebb.
“So, these are the qualities of leaders Nigeria needs, not those that will keep promising heaven and earth without a defined strategy to fulfill these promises.” the minister said.
Speaking on the movement, the former APC national woman leader said the aim is to sensitize Nigerians on the need to come out en mass and vote for the APC.
“We will go into the nooks and crannies of Kogi state and the country at large to mobilize support for Tinubu/Shatima presidency by highlighting on the manifesto of the candidates and that of the APC.
“We are sure that if the APC is elected, the current issue of insecurity and economic challenges will be addressed.” Aliyu.
