As Muslims celebrate this year’s Hijrah, Kogi West People’s Democratic party (PDP) Hon.Teejay Yusuf, has urged the people of Kogi state and Nigerians to continuously pray for the peace and prosperity of the country.
Yusuf, who is the current serving lawmaker representing Kabba/Bunu/ Ijumu federal Constituency, made the called in Lokoja on Sunday at this year’s Muslim New year celebrations.
while felicitating Muslims in the state and across the Kogi West on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1444 AH,the lawmaker wished Muslims in the state, Nigeria and across the Kogi West senatorial District Year filled with blessings and benevolence of the Almighty God.
Yusuf,who was represented by Hon. Bayo Yusuf, equally admonished Muslims to, in the spirit of the New Year, pray for a smooth and refreshing season in our country.
The PDP flagbearer bearer who donated Two Hundred and fifty Thousand Naira (N250,000) prayed for the country to overcome the challenges before 2023 elections added, “it is my prayer that all Muslims in Kogi State and the country will experience positive improvements and progress as the Hijrah 1444 AH begins.” he prayed.
