The Senator Karimi Women Support Group has once again demonstrated its commitment to grassroots education by paying school fees and distributing exercise books to 2000 primary school pupils in Lokoja local government area of Kogi State.

The intervention, carried out on Wednesday, is part of the group’s ongoing efforts to ease the burden on parents and encourage children to remain focused on their studies.

Beneficiaries were drawn from different schools, with their fees settled and each pupil provided with exercise books and other essential learning materials.

Speaking during the exercise, the Lokoja coordinator of the group, Hajiya Nafisat Usman, explained that this was not the first time such a program was being carried out.

She recalled that in previous years, the group had embarked on similar interventions — including the distribution of school materials, empowerment of women, and direct support for vulnerable households.

According to her, these initiatives are inspired by Senator Sunday Karimi’s passion for education and community development, stressing that the group would continue to complement his efforts with direct outreach to those in need.

Parents and teachers who witnessed the event expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful, especially at a time when many families struggle to meet school expenses.

Pupils who benefited from the exercise were visibly excited and promised to work harder in their academics.
