“INTRODUCTION

The Chairman of this occasion, members of the high table, distinguished invited guests… ladies and gentlemen.

Good morning.

It gives me great joy and humility to stand before you today. Above all, we must thank Almighty Allah for granting us life and good health to witness this important event, the grand closing ceremony of the Hon. Bala Justice Free Holiday Classes.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PROGRAM.

Distinguished guests, let me take us briefly down memory lane.

The idea of organizing this free holiday class was first conceived by Mr. Muhammad A.A. Yantako. He shared the vision with Mr. Abbas Yahaya, who quickly embraced it, knowing how long the holiday would be, six full weeks.

The idea was later presented by Abbas Yahaya to Hon. Bala Justice. Without hesitation, he accepted it and volunteered to sponsor the entire project. Initially, our plan was modest. We targeted 200 pupils from primary schools and 100 students from secondary schools. But to our greatest surprise, the program
attracted more than 1,000 participants pupils and students, all eager and joyful to be part of this initiative.

This speaks volumes of the necessity of such programs in our community, and the trust people have in this noble initiative.

HUMAN RESOURCES & COORDINATION To run the program effectively, we engaged:

(1) Two experienced coordinators,

(2) Ten dedicated and professional teachers carefully selected from different schools, – As well as volunteers and security personnel who supported us throughout.

Hon. Bala Justice provided everything needed for success. Includes:

  1. Educational materials such as chalk, pens, and customized exercise books.
  2. Stipends for the coordinators, teachers, and security team.
  3. Prizes for Ist, 2nd, and 3rd positions across all classes, plus special gifts for other outstanding pupils and students.
  4. And above all, made a remarkable investment in the future of our children through his generous financial commitment.

Truly, this is no small effort.

So ladies and gentlemen, please join me in saying a very loud and heartfelt THANK YOU to Hon. Bala Justice.

ACHIEVEMENTS ;

Distinguished guests, permit me to also highlight some of the notable achievements of this program:

  1. Academic Growth; Pupils and students gained meaningful knowledge as teachers devoted their time and energy to teaching, while learners actively

participated. This has greatly improved their academic confidence and performance.

  1. Unity and Collaboration; The program brought together pupils, students, and teachers from different schools, This not only encouraged the sharing of ideas but also fostered a spirit of unity and friendship among participating schools.
  2. Parental Relief; Parents were relieved of the burden of keeping their wards occupied during the long holiday. They were assured that their children were meaningfully engaged in a safe and structured environment.

4, Curbing Idleness; By engaging young minds productively, the program

prevented idleness, reduced distractions, and kept pupils and students away from negative influences.

  1. Security and Safety; The constant presence of coordinators, teachers, and

security personnel also strengthened security within the school compound throughout the holiday.

  1. Inspiration and Motivation; Outstanding participants will be going home with not just-
learning materials, but also special prizes and cash
    gifts.

This will serve as motivation for them and others to take education more seriously.

These achievements clearly show that this program has made a real difference, not only to the learners but also to their parents and the entire community.
