The newly Turbaned ‘Garkuwan Matasan Lakwaja’ Mallam Abdulkareem Umar Inna has paid a Royal visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V,Maigari Of Lokoja, to express gratitude and seek blessings, after his significant appointment.
Mallam Abdulkareem Umar Inna was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Garkuwan Matasan Lakwaja by HRH, Maigari Of Lokoja recently, saying the honour was in recognition of his dedication, commitment to the progress, unity and his general acceptance by his kabawa community.
His Royal Highness, Maigari of Lokoja said, “I decided to throw the vacant Royal position out to kabawa community to choose who to occupy the vacant stool and this gentleman, Mallam Abdulkareem Umar Inna
was recommended by his kabawa community, so, i believe thee entire people want him, it was on that premise I took that decision to turban him as Garkowa Matasa of Lokoja”, he said.
He however charged the new title holder to ensure that the issue of cultism, drug addiction and unwarranted social vices should be eliminated, and that is the reason why I will also appoints someone else to assist you in conbacting the heinous crimes in the community.
The newly Turbaned Garkuwan Matasan Lakwaja , Mallam Abdulkareem Umar Inna, thanked His Royal Highness, Maigari of Lokoja,Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir 1V, and the people of Lokoja local government area, for their overwhelming acceptance and love.
He described the confluence and historic town, Lokoja as a peaceful place, promised to ensure that the peace is sustained, especially in kabawa area.
While also appreciating Maigari of Lokoja, he described the title as a special honour, not only to him, but also his community.
In his words, “I want to thank Your Highness for this honour done to me and also to my community as well; and I am very delighted, I believe it is Allah’s-ordained. And as my people have honoured me by following me in their thousands today to the palace , I promise that the rots in kabawa will change for good”, he assured.
Earlier, the Hakimi of Ward E, Mallam Abdulkadir Yahaya re-introduced the new Garkuwan Matasan Lakwaja to His Royal Highness, saying he is the popular choice of the community, assuring that Mallam Abdulkareem Umar Inna will sustain and bring about unity and peaceful co-existence in kabawa community in lokoja local government Area.
In his closing remarks, the former Liaison Officer of the local government, Alhaji Idris Abubakar Lokoja thanked Maigari of Lokoja for considering and appointing their son as Garkuwan matasan Lakwaja, he however appreciates his Royal highness for magnanimity.
