Insecurity: Senator. Sunday Karimi Organises Special Prayers, “Seek God’s Intervention Against Banditry

The Senator representing Kogi West senatorial district, Senator Sunday Steven Karimi has initiated special prayers in Central mosque and Churches for an end to insecurity challenges causing severe pains to the people of Kogi West.

The special prayers which was tagged, ” Seek The Face Of Allah/God In Kogi West”, kick-started on Thursday at Central mosque and ECWA church in Lokoja, the state capital of Kogi state.

Hundreds of Muslims and Christians participated in the special prayers at both prayer houses, they all expressed worry over the incessant kidnapping and attacks of the people of Kogi west.

Speaking to journalists at Central mosque, Lokoja, Sen. Sunday Karimi said the situation in Kogi west senatorial district is becoming very unbearable to common man.

He said when kidnapping and insecurity is getting out of hand, it is necessary that we seek the face of Almighty God for his intervention and mercies adding that with prayers all things are possible.

According to him, “No right thinking political leader will have a peaceful sleep after seeing several kidnapping and killing of his people in his constituency, apart from the security arrangement put in place by Government, we are also seeking the face of God for his special intervention,” he said.

Sen. Karimi said he was moved by the terrible insecurity he saw in those communities, where households were been kidnapped and harassed by unknown gunmen, while others were outrightly disposed of their properties.

He further revealed that similar prayers session will continue in other local government areas In Kogi Western senatorial district of the state.

The special prayers which was held at lokoja Central Mosque under the leadership of chief Imam of lokoja,Sheikh Muhammad Aminu Sha’aba,was attended by representative of the Maigari of lokoja, Islamic Clarics and politicians among others.
