Full Text Of My Remarks on the occasion of distribution of Sallah Palliatives To orphans, widows and the vulnerable Persons Orgasmed By Late Alhaji Musa Foundation Delivered On Saturday 22/3/2024, Equivalent To 22 Ramadan 1446 AH

You’re welcome to the fifth edition of this year’s annual Sallah distribution of Palliatives to orphans,widows and the vulnerable persons sponsored by Late Musa Nasidi family/ Masjid Nasidi ummah.

Rewards in Islam For Sponsoring the Orphans’ welfare has an extremely special status in Islam as it embodies compassion, responsibility, and social justice. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did encourage Muslims to care for orphans and sponsor an orphan and cited great spiritual rewards attached to that noble act, especially during the festive period so than they’ll not felt the absence of their departed ones. Orphan sponsorship is not charity alone, rather investment in their futures for years to come.

Care for the orphans and the less privileged people have rewards which brings on the individuals’ plate in this life as well as in the Afterlife.

Initiatives such as Muslim Rose Welfare allow their sponsors to be involved in real change. We don’t need to be wealthy before we assist, we can do it with the little resources if you do, Allah would multiply it and reward us. It mustn’t be during Ramadan alone .

Islam significantly emphasizes the importance of orphaned children and asks oneself to provide them with due care through both the Quran and the Sunnah.

Allah says in the Surah Al-Insan, 76:8;

“And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive.”

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said:
(Sahih Bukhari)

“I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two,” and he gestured with his index and middle fingers together. (Sahih Bukhari)

These teachings not only present it as a moral obligation to care and sponsor an orphan but as a spiritual way to bring one closer to Allah. Sponsorship has been a good tool in filling this responsibility, as it offers complete support to cater to the child’s total needs, which include his or her physical, emotional, and educational aspects. As we’re witnessing today.

We must bear in mind that one day our children, grandchildren they’ll become orphans, definitely if you assist orphans during your life time, Allah will stand behind your children and grandchildren in your absence.
