The Permanent Secretary ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, who holds the traditional title of Tafakin Lakwaja, Engineer Muhammad Sagir Abdulsalam has felicitated with the Mai martaba Sarkin Lakwaja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, Lokoja emirate council Muslim on Eid al-Fitr.
In a statement he personally signed and issued in Lokoja on Sunday said that the holy month of Ramadan provided an opportunity to pray and seek divine intervention for the process and development of Lokoja and the state in general.
The statement added that the Muslim ummah should continue to practice the lessons learned during Ramadan even after the month has ended.
The statement read in parts: “Eid al-Fitr is a time of great joy, as it represents the successful completion of the fasting period and spiritual reflection in the holy month of Ramadan.
“On Eid, Muslims ummah express gratitude for the health and opportunities Allah has given them to fulfil their obligation of fasting.
“We should use this festive period to promote peace and harmony.
“I congratulate His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, all Muslim ummah in Lokoja, and around the world. May we celebrate many more Eids in good health.” the statement said.
