… Says Corruption, Enemies of Good Governance Are Fighting Back.
The consultant with Kogi International Market, Lokoja, Mr Adam Jimoh Babangida has described the mischievous write up alleging that he was indicted by any Sub Committee as false and malicious.
Reacting to a write up titled: Exposed; Kogi International Market Consultant jimoh, indicted by committee Report on missing Govt. Properties as a figment of the imagination of the mischief makers.
The Consultant says he is committed to protecting the interest of the present administration, the Maigari of Lokoja and other critical stakeholders of the State in ensuring that the vision of the International Market and in revenue generation is sustained amidst the name calling.
He said at no time was he summoned before any committee and any recommendation made for the immediate termination of his contract. He said he has come to equity with clean hands over the years, asked those after him to seek for other means of livelihood.
He denied involvement in the missing items as alledged in the write up, described the online report as one aimed at discrediting and tarnishing his good reputation by people who he claimed are no longer in a position to corner government Money to as was done in the past corruptly in enriching themselves.
The Consultant said never was he made to appear before a Sub – Committee on missing government properties that includes Generators, transformers at Lokoja international market, asked any one in doubt to cross check with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Board.
While the Consultant displayed a letter of request he made for removal of Generators in the International Market Lokoja, to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, he also has an approval from the Acting Chairman/Director Administration, which authorized the removal and final custody of the mentioned items in the Ministry. Confirmed report upon investigation has it that the mentioned items are in safe government custody.
It is therefore important to place on record that no generator, transformer and other valuable properties were allegedly carted away to unknown destination by the Consultant. The Ministry concerned it was discovered has them in their possession and is open for verification.
The Consultant without over stating the obvious is a man of utmost integrity, has conducted the affairs of running the Market with the high sense of decorum, pointing out that the Police Station as mentioned in the story can also attest to the sincerity of the Consultant.
We therefore call on the general public to disregard the said report as it was masterminded by enemies of the Gov. Ododo administration as the integrity of the International Consultant remains in tact.
While Mr Adam Jimoh Babangida says he will continue to work with the vision of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo in ensuring probity and accountability, pointing out that those targeting him are all A enemies of the present administration.
He concluded by saying no amount of blackmail would deter him in staying on the right course and in serving diligently the Government and people of Kogi State.
