The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Omedia Nigeria ORITS GEE has appealed to the Federated Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Kogi State Council to champion the course of Miss Nollywood international Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu in achieving her goals in the next one year.
Orits Gee made the appeal while playing host to members of the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Lokoja weekend.
The entertainer, who described the newly crowned Miss Nollywood international as a vibrant, talented and well coordinated personality noted that Miss Salisu has outlined her plans in the next one year to impact in the society.
He disclosed that Miss Nollywood international recently made provision for bags of rice and other consumables for flood affected victims in Lokoja metropolis, stressing that, her visit to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission and other higher institutions within the State has kick started her campaign against sex for marks and any form of sexual harassment in Kogi State.
“We recently provided an accommodations for a family who were affected by flood in 2024. Miss Nollywood international has been doing a lot to ensure that the less privilege have a sense of belonging in society.
“The media which is the fourth estate of the realm remains the engine room for a better society that is why we are soliciting for your support through publicity to champion the vision of Miss Nollywood International Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu in the next one year” he added.
Throwing more light on the plans of the beauty Queen, Orits Gee noted that Miss Salisu intends to patch” of 64, 000 potholes in the 36 States of the Federation.
”The patching of project is one of her pet projects, aimed at saving lives. As a beauty queen, She is worried and concerned over the number accidents and lives lost due to potholes on roads across the country.
“This is why Miss Nollywood International, in conjunction with Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), is embarking on filling up 64,000 potholes across our roads, ” she said.
Orits Gee, who doubles as the Manager of Miss Nollywood international Ozohu-Salihu, said the beauty Queen will be collaborating with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to achieve this goal.
“The corps is to ensure that drivers don’t drink and drive in line with our “Operation Don’t Drink and Drive Programme.”
According to him, the two projects were mainly designed to help save lives and properties of travellers on the roads across the nation. She seeks donations and sponsorship from every Nigeria as this is project that should concern every Nigeria in Nigeria.
