The remains of late Kogi lawmaker, Hon. Mustafa Abdukarem Allah Dey arrived Lokoja on Wednesday and was subsequently buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
ThEANLYSTNG had reported the death of Hon. Mustafa Abdukarem Allah Dey aged 65, who represented Lokoja 1 state constituency.
The funeral prayer, which was conducted by the sheikh Attahiru Ahmad, was attended by speaker Kogi state House of assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf,Member representing Lokoja 1, constituency,Hon Tijjani Shehu, chairman of Lokoja local government area,Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, members of Lokoja Forum Of Patriots,family, friends, political associates, loyalists, among others.
Late Abdulkareem was laid to rest at Unguwan Kura Muslim cemetery, Lokoja, Kogi state.
The lawmaker died in okene in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness and was transported to Lokoja,same day.
Speaking on behalf of Kogi lawmakers, Speaker of the Kogi state House, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf ,described late Abdulkarerm as a strong advocate for the welfare of his constituents who provided
empowerment programmes, scholarships and infrastructure development to his constituents across party affiliation during his term.
The lawmaker, an People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker before he defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC)was elected in 2003 served the people of his constituency as a first term lawmaker,at the Kogi state House assembly.
He was the House of assembly Committee chairman, Sport.
