All Road led to the palace of HRH. the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, on Friday, witnessed large turnout as Maimunat Kabir Maikarfi, daughter of late Maigari of Lokoja tied the knot with her sweetheart,Dr Abdulazeez Muhammad,a staff of Lokoja Fed university teaching Hospital.
The ceremony took place at the palace of the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, was officiated by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban ,assisted by Islamic clerics within and outside the state Lokoja.
The Hakimin Cikin Gida, Alhaji Tale Abbas represented the father of the bride (HRH Maigari of Lokoja).where a dowry of N100,000 was paid by Reps of the groom, Alhaji Abdulazeez sani.
Among the notable personalities in attendance were Kogi state commissioner for water Resources, Engineer Muhammad Danladi Yahaya Farouk,Shatiman Lakwaja, Alhaji Muhammad Mabo Kasim,Reps of khalifa Nurudeen Yusuf, traditional rulers, traditional title holders and many others.
Speaking to Newsmen,State commissioner for water Resources, Engineer Farouk, while congratulating the couple and their parents, noted that marriage as an institution requires mutual trust and understanding, urging the bride and her groom to respect one another and adhere strictly to islamic teachings in their matrimony.
