His Royal Highness , Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, Maigari of Lokoja.
The speaker, Kogi state House of assembly, Rt Hon.Aliyu Umar Yusuf,Maigari of Lokoja,His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir,member representing Lokoja /Kogi federal Constituency, Hon Suleiman Danladi Aguye and commissioner for water Resources, Engineer Muhammad Danladi Yahaya Farouk, were among dignitaries that attended the wedding Fatiha of Rahmat Muhammad Kasim Mabo , daughter of Shatima of Lokoja,Alhaji Muhammad mabo Kasim, and Abduljabbar Abdulazeez Adeiza,son of late Dr Farouk Abdulazeez the tafida of ebira land which took place on Saturday in Lokoja.
The ceremony took place at the Lokoja Central Mosque, where the former general manager of NIWA, Alhaji Ibrahim Served as the Father of the Bride.
The wedding Fatiha was presided over by the Chief Imam of Lokoja Central Mosque, sheikh Muhammad Aminu Sha’aban, who officially pronounced Rahmat Muhammad Kasim and Abduljabbar Abdulazeez Adeiza as husband and wife after confirming the payment of N150,000 as the bride price.
He also led special prayers for a happy and fulfilling marriage, urging the couple to uphold the tenets of Islam throughout their life together.
The ceremony attracted a notable gathering, including the chief Imam of late Dr Farouk Abdulazeez central mosque,okene, Abdulrahim Aroke ,Kogi state commissioner for Solid materials and natural resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu,State APC chairman,Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq,Daman of Lokoja, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Muhammad, top Lokoja local government legislative council led by council leader Hon. Fatima hauwa Muhammad and the Maiyaki of Kupa, among other well-wishers.
During the event, Executive Chairman of SUBEB Alhaji Muhammad Abdulrasaq, offered advice to the newlyweds, emphasizing the importance of adhering to Islamic principles in their marriage and praying for Allah’s blessings upon their union.
A luncheon was organised for the guests and well-wishers immediately after the wedding Fatiha.
Speaking to Newsmen,Father of the groom and Shatima of Lokoja , Alhaji Muhammad mabo Kasim,who was overwhelmed expressed his gratitude to HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, the Maigari of Lokoja,members of Lokoja traditional council and all those that attended the ceremony for making the occasion successful.
