Sarkin Fawan of Lokoja,Hon. Idi Ibrahim on Saturday congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State over his victory at the Supreme Court yesterday.
Idi in a statement he signed and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja on Saturday remarked that the verdict by the apex court confirmed Governor Ododo’s well-deserved victory in the November 2023 governorship election.
Idi,who holds the position of National Assistant Financial Secretary, Nigeria Butchers Union called on the opposition and well-meaning people of kogi state to join hands with the Governor to ensure the socioeconomic development of the state.
“The Supreme Court ruling is a confirmation of both the perfect will of God and the undeniable choice of kogi state people,” he said.
“It also reinforces the confidence our people have in the judiciary. This is a good development for the advancement of democracy in our dear state.
“Members of Butchers Development Association Lokoja kogi in kogi state are satisfied with the transparent and accountable leadership you have exhibited since you took the oath of office and allegiance .
“Please accept my warm congratulations on your victory and my best wishes for your success as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high office.
“I wish to assure you and the people of kogi state of the continued support of our members.
“It is time for the people of kogi state from all political parties and all ethnic subgroups to rise and support you as our God-ordained Governor”, the Sarkin Fawan said.
