Ahead of October 19th Council elections in kogi state, Alhaji Abdurahman Idris Sofada on Saturday emerged as the SDP Chairmanship flagbearer for October 19th Local Government election .
Lokoja Local Government SDP executives and their Ten wards counterparts converged at Adankolo Primary School in Lokoja, to affirm the candidature of Hon Sofada .
The party returning to officer and state vice chairman of SDP, Comrade Muhammed Sani Yusuf presented Hon. Abdurahman Idris Waziri Sofada to the party executives
as the only aspirant and they unanimously affirmed him as the party’s candidate for the forthcoming local government election.
The exercise was witnessed by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) representative , Hon.
Abubakar Bala Isah,security agencies and party stakeholders.
In his remarks,Sofada thanked SDP leadership, stakeholders and his co- contesters and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He commended all those that signified intentions to serve as chairman of Lokoja local under the platform of SDP.
“I want to use this medium to commend all of for your sportsmanship, the task is enormous, We must come together so that our community would be taking to the highest pedestal of development ” he said.
