Ahead of October 19th, 2024 council elections ,the Social Democratic Party (SDP)Chairmanship Aspirant in Lokoja local Government,Hon. Abubakar katamba Ndarani, has vowed to generate more revenue if elected .
Ndarari ,who disclosed this while answering questions from reporters after he was screened on Saturday, assured that his administration, if elected, will work on how the local government council will sustain itself without relying on federal allocation.
According to him our internal revenue is very low and we cannot just depend on going to Abuja every month to collect stipends which in the end cannot sustain us for weeks.
He explained further that he would try to improve on the revenue but not by increasing the tax collections process or putting the burden on the citizens.
He further explained that for every policy that affects the generality of the people of Lokoja Local Government area , they will consult widely before taking major decisions, and in that consultation they will know that the majority matters.
