Kogi state chapters of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI and Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, have expressed satisfaction with the level of restraint and maturity exhibited by the people of Kogi state over the ongoing hunger protest in Nigeria.
The religious groups through their Chairmen, Ambassador Usman Bello and Special Apostle Pst Dr Adebayo Emmanuel Olaniyan expressed delight with the resolve of the people to toe the line of dialogue and prayers for God’s intervention in the hardship facing the people and urged leaders to ensure the improvement of condition of living of the people.
The Faith Leaders used the opportunity to call for the sustenance of peace in the state since protest can be counterproductive, especially when hijacked by hoodlums.
They also appreciate the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his scientific approach to Governance that has endeared him to the people, thus ensuring peaceful coexistence and urged him to sustain the tempo.
The religious groups, therefore, implored their congregants to continue to pray for God’s intervention in the affairs of Kogi state and Nigeria.
