Ahead of the October 19 Council Poll, Critical Stakeholders in Ward E in Lokoja Local Government Area (LGA) have endorsed the candidature of Hajiya Aisha Umar in the Councillorship election.
According to the leadership of the party in the area, the decision was made in the best interest of Ward E people, and the decision was taken after hours of deliberations at a meeting in Kabawa, Lokoja.
While speaking to ThEANLYSTNG after the meeting, one of the leader of APC, Hon Yakamata Kabawa said the endorsement of Hon. Aisha was in compliance with gender sensitivity of ward E community stressing that the APC flagbearer deserves the support of everyone.
In his words: “Ward E is a very sensitive Ward with many political heavyweights. The gender sensitive adopted by leader/stakeholders needs commendations.
I have no doubt that Hon. Aisha will justified the confidence reposed in her and should be supported to win” he said.
Responding, Hon. Aisha Umar thanked the Stakeholders for their endorsement and support, assuring them of her continued commitment to the progress and development of ward E in particular and Lokoja LGA in general.
