The General Manager of Kogi state Hotels and Tourism Board, Hajiya Bilkisu Abdulsalam Agueyi last Friday visited US Embassy Abuja.
Agueyi, who led the management teams of the board, informed their hosts that the visit was to “reciprocate the earlier one by
Mr Peter Burba ,an assistant cultural affairs officer US Embassy in Nigeria last month.
ThEANLYSTNG reports that Mr Peter Burba,an assistant cultural affairs officer with US embassy in June visited Kogi state hotels and tourism Board in Lokoja .
Agueyi explained that their visit was aimed at fostering cultural exchange, promoting mutual understanding, and facilitating dialogue on the need to promote the heritage and development of tourism in kogi state and united State.
While speaking to Newsmen in Abuja, secretary of the board,Barrister Muhammad Sani Inuwa described their visit as successful.
According to him:”our visit and engagement with the American Embassy and the Kogi Hotels Hotels and Tourism Board teams proved to be successful, with both parties expressing interest in future collaborations and partnerships,”
He pointed out that tourism in the state under Agueyi continued to evolve, as our recent discussions with US Embassy officials would play a crucial role in enhancing international cooperation and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
He maintained further that:”Our mission to the embassy also serves as a another landmark towards harnessing the untapped potential of Nigeria’s tourism industry and fostering global connections,” he said
