In line with the Federal Government and Kogi State Government’s quarterly distribution of food to the vulnerable in the society, Lokoja Caretaker Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu today supervised the distribution of food stuff to 239 Communities across the 10 Wards of Lokoja Local Government Area.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Water, Engr Farouk Ymd who addressed the representatives of the Communities at the flag off reiterates government’s commitment to alleviating the economic hardship and supporting the weak and vulnerable in the society.
“We are here to witness another fulfilment of government policy to continuously support our people every quarter with food items. Today, a total of 1518 bags (25kg) donated by the Federal Government and another 600 bags (50kg) donated by His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo will be distributed to 239 Communities across the 10 Wards of Lokoja Local Government.”
Engr. Farouk appealed to the various Community Leaders to ensure that the items get to the targeted beneficiaries according to the template designed.
Responding on behalf of the Communities, Alhaji Isah Adoga Ibrahim commended the government for the consistency. “This gesture is highly appreciated and we commend the government for keeping up with this promise.”
He assured the government that the template would be strictly adhered to like in previous distributions.
