Tribunal: Rep congratulates Ododo on victory

Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, member representing Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency at the House of representative,has congratulate Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his victory at the Governorship election tribunal.

The lawmaker said the tribunal verdict has further legitimised Ododo’s win at the last Kogi Guber poll.

Recall that Muritala Ajaka ,SDP Governorship candidate in November election had filed petitions against governor ododo’s victory.

In a statement he personally signed and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja on Monday,, Aguye said the verdict was a victory for democracy and kogites who overwhelmingly voted for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said that this has reinforced the popular mandate of governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his deputy,
Comrade Salifu Joel Oyibo.

On his part, Aguye pledged to continue to use the instrumentality of the legislature to make a positive impact in his constituent and the nation at large.

The statement reads in part:
“I applaud the judgment of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal for upholding the victory of our Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo,and our Deputy governor, His Excellency, Comrade Salifu Joel Oyibo the, at the November 2023 governorial polls,” Aguye said.

“I also congratulate our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), on its vindication by this well-thought-out landmark judgment. It shows that indeed progress has been made.

“Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s victory was never in doubt. He was the overwhelming choice of kogites and what the judiciary has done is to set a seal on it. My constituents are happy that this era of renewed hope will continue,” the statement concluded.
