Insecurity: Joint Security patrol, Curfew Extended in Sarkin Noma, Felele Communities

In continuation of his efforts to restore the security situations in felele,Sarkin Noma and environs,the curfew imposed in the communities has been extended while joint patrol by security agents is to be carry out.

This was made known via press statement signed by the special adviser to Lokoja local government transition chairman,comrade Illiyasu Zakari at the end of security meeting held on Thursday in Lokoja.

In his welcome address, the Lokoja Local Government Caretaker Transition Committee Secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Egamana who represented the council boss,
underscores the importance of the meeting in shaping the next line of action. He commended the resolute security personnel for the tireless effort and professionalism.

He said the Security meeting was convened to evaluate the progress of the Joint Security Operations commissioned by the Lokoja Local Government’s Transition

According to the council scribe: “The reports and feedback from the communities are all positive and encouraging. The Chairman has asked me to extend his appreciation to both the security agents and residents of the affected communities”.

In his own contributions,the Dean of Students Affairs, Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Abdullahi Musa Yusuf, who spoke on behalf of the University commended the Chairman for the bold steps, noting that students communities has reported that there’s remarkable improvement in security.

The meeting resolved that the Security operations is in the best interest of everyone concerned hence the need to continues.

Hon. Egamana appeal to the residents to continue to cooperate with the security personnel and provide timely information using the distress numbers made available to them.

Other stakeholders present includes the DPO “B” Division, Felele, Representatives of various Communities, Vigilante and Hunters.
