The forum of former chairman of Nigeria Motorcycle Transport Union,Lokoja local government branch has endorsed impeachment of the former union chairman,Malam Baba Usman.
In a statement signed by the forum chairman, comrade Umar Farouk Kabo and made available to journalists in Lokoja, on Wednesday said their decision to support the actions taken by the union was in line with the provisions of the union’s constitution.
The accused the former chairman Malam Baba Musa of beaching the provisions of the constitution.
He has turned the union into his personal property,using it funds to promote his families and cronies .
Since he assumed office he always took a unilateral decisions without consulting former office holders” Kabo said
According to Kabo the decision by the executive to sacked former chairman Baba Musa Aliyu would serve as a deterrent for others .
Kabo further maintained that the Impeached chairman must refund to death benefits of late Lawali Nuhu and surrender and the union properties in his possession for the interest of peace .
He commended the council chairman ,comrade Abdullahi Adamu for is quick intervention stressing that justice must be allowed to prevail against the injustice and corrupt leadership of the former chairman,” Baba Musa Aliyu”
