Cigarin Lakwaja,Alhaji Ahmed Sanusi has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking end of 30 days Ramadan fasting, and urged prayers for peace in Lokoja Emirate , Kogi state and Nigeria at large.
A statement he personally signed on Wednesday in Lokoja said that the Holy month of Ramadan provided an opportunity to pray and seek divine intervention for the country’s security situation.
The statement added that the Muslim ummah should continue to practice the lessons learned during Ramadan even after the month has ended.
The statement reads in part, “Eid-al-Fitr is a time of great joy as it represents the successful completion of the fasting period and spiritual reflection in the Holy month of Ramadan.
“On Eid, Muslims express gratitude for the health and opportunities Allah has given them to fulfil their obligation of fasting.
“We should use this festive period to promote peace and harmony.
“I congratulate the Maigari of Lokoja all Muslim communities and members of Lokoja traditional title holders, May we celebrate many more act of ibadat” Cigari prayed
