The Dan Darma Of Lokoja,Barr Nasir Ahmed, has called for
unity and understanding
among Muslims in the country.
Ahmed,who is also a senior councillor in Lokoja Emirate Council,made the appeal in his Sallah message to Muslims Ummah through a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Lokoja on Wednesday.
He pointed out that peaceful coexistence was necessary for the rapid development of the country, Lokoja Emirate Council and kogi state as a whole.
He said without unity and mutual understanding among the people, there would be no meaningful development.
The Dan Darma Of Lokoja said he’s optimistic that the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, as the custodian of peace and tradition, would not relent in his efforts to unite the people of Lokoja Emirate Council by upholding societal values.
He congratulated the Maigari of Lokoja and members of Lokoja traditional title holders for the successful completion of Ramadan.
