Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Kogi state chapter, on Saturday, presented a letter of appointment to His Royal Majesty, the Ohinoyi Of Ebiraland, Alhaji (Dr) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje,as the vice president -General of JNI .
Presenting the letter on behalf of the president -General and sultan of Sokoto,His Eminence, Dr. Sa’ad Abubakar CFR Mni in Okene, Chairman of JNI,Kogi state chapter, Ambassador Usman Bello, explained that the royal father’s appointment followed the demised of Dr. Ado Ibrahim and the appointment of Anaje as the new Ohinoyi Of Ebiraland.
According to Bello:”In line with the Jama‘atu Nasril Islam (INI) Constitution (Section 5-3), which states that “Vice Presidents-General are the most senior Muslim traditional rulers ,one trom each State of the Federation, FCT inclusive, or where applicable an indigenous Muslin leader”,
The letter of appointment which was signed by the secretary general,Dr Abubakar Ali, reads:”
NOTIFICATION AS JAMA’ATU NASRIL ISLAM (JNI) VICE PRESIDENT-GENERAL (VPG), KOGI STATE
In line with the Jama‘atu Nasril Islam (INI) Constitution (Section 5-3), which states that “Vice Presidents-General are the most senior Muslim traditional rulers ,one trom each State of the Federation, FCT inclusive, or where applicable an indigenous Muslin leader”, I write at the instance of the JNI President-General, Alhaji: (Dr.) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, sultsn of Sokoto, to notify His Royal Majesty that consequent upon ascension of throne as the Ohinoyi: of Ebiraland, you are now JNI Vice President-General, Kogi State, by that virtue you are a member of JNI Central Council.
The Central Council is the highest decision making body, chaired by His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto. It thus, implies that HRM is a member of JNI Central Genera!
Purposes Committee (CGPC), chaired by HRH, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umer Garba: At El-kanemi, CFR, the Shehu of Borno, Deputy president-General, INI.
Once more, we are very much confident that you know the onerous task before your esteemed self and the office you now occupy. Therefore, we pray that Allah (SWT) will ease the arduous task, give you the hikenah (wisdom) and the basirah (foresight) to reign in good health and Iman. Amin.” the statement concluded.
Highlights of the event includes, briefing on the activities of the organisation by the state Secretary Alhaji Isah Adeboye.
