The Zonal Chairman of Association of Master Bakers And Caterers,Yarima Muhammad has assured consumers in the state that high cost of bread would soon be thing of the past.
Yarima gave the assurance while speaking with our reporter in Lokoja on Tuesday.
He said that the association call off the strike embarked upon due to the agreement and promised made by the federal government to address the operational challenges facing its members.
He added that the strike was sequel to series of challenges facing the association in the country which government promised to address.
Yarima identified the challenges to include; shortage of raw materials, increasing cost of materials, over taxation and levies as the bases for the high cost of bread in the country.
The Zonal chairman who expressed his optimism in the agreement reached with the federal government, assured consumers that the high cost of bread would soon drop drastically.
