Gov. Ododo Committed to building on the Education legacies of Ex-Gov. Bello, Donates N1m to CSS Gegu Beki

The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer. Bashiru Abubakar Gegu has donated the sum of N1m to Community Secondary School Gegu Beki.

Gegu disclosed that the present administration of Gov Ahmed Ibrahim Amana Usman Ododo is committed to building on the legacies of his predecessor in the area of education.

He expressed confidence in the ability of the present administration to surpass previous achievements in the education sector, lauded Gov. Ododo for placing youths and sports Development as priority in his administration.

The Commissioner made the donation during the 19th inter house competition of the school, described Gov. Ododo as one who is desirious of making education the bedrock of sustainable development.

The commissioner appreciated the for his giant strides in education since assumption of office, says with the steps he has taken thus far he is committed to consolidating on the gains of the past administration.

He described sports Development as one that must not be relegated in the lives of students, expressed appreciation with the performances displayed by students of Community Secondary School Gegu Beki.

The Nyiwo of Gegu Beki, HRH Alhaji Muhammed Abba Alhassan appreciated Engr Gegu for his support to the development of young people, described him as a worthy son who is never tired of developing the society positively in all ways possible.

The Nyiwo House came first in the inter house school competition with 375 points.
