Caretaker Chairman of Lokoja Local Government,Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, in chat with Newsmen on Friday said that there was nothing like Protest in Lokoja,Kogi state, by treaders as published by some media outlets,not THEANALYSTNG.
The council boss explained that what happened was that the traders paid homage to the new Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V who was recently appointed as the seven Maigari of Lokoja.
According to him: “it’s our tradition that traders always display there wares or foodstuffs products whenever they’re visiting the palace in group,the traders captured in the story holding yam foodstuffs were traders not protesters ” Adamu said.
