Ali condoles with Engineer Gegu over father’s death

Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lokoja/Kogi federal Constituency, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali has sent condolences to Kogi state Commissioner for Solid Mineral resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu on the passing away of his father, Imam Abubakar umar.

In a condolence message to Engineer Bashir, Gegu community and people of Kogi Local Government area, contained via a statement he personally signed on Thursday
said that Imam’s death was a great loss not only to people of Gegu but to the Igu Kingdom given his invaluable contributions to the teaching of Islam.

He noted that the deceased lived a life of great impact on the society and urged the family to be consoled by the legacies left behind by their late patriarch.

Ali paid glowing tribute to the deceased for being a worthy father to children and many others, and urged the family to take solace in the fact that he lived to witness the enormous successes achieved by one of his offspring, including the emergence of Engineer Bashir Abubakar Gegu as honourable commissioner in kogi state.

The statement reads in part:
“We received the news of the demise of your beloved father with shock, but we are consoled by the fact that he lived a life of dedicated service to humanity through the teaching of Islam.

We share in your sorrow and pains at this period and we pray that Allah will grant you and the family the courage to bear the irreplaceable loss, as we pray for the repose of the soul of your departed father.

“On behalf of my family, the APC members in Lokoja /Kogi federal Constituency, I mourn with you, my brother, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu on the unfortunate demise of your beloved father, Imam Abubakar umar

“It is my prayer that Allah will comfort you and the entire family as you mourn,” he said.
